As a young skate punk, the street was always my safe place.

Running away from home to spend more time creating something out of what seemed to be nothing. Skaters see the world differently: the streets, the benefits, the imperfections.

The only time I’ve ever felt anything close to that feeling of philosophy was when I had a camera.

Like street skateboarding, street photography is my way of looking at the world from a deeper perspective, to see things that are always there but not necessarily noticeable to the average person who passes by rushing to another task in his day.

We all do the same things in a billion different ways for completely different reasons.

There is probably no right way when it comes to self-expression, and many times, I think there is no even space for personal taste when it comes to this.

For years, I’ve been, and still am, in a love-and-hate relationship with art and photography. I can’t really put myself under any of the categories, even though it seems like I do both. Maybe ‘Self-expressionist’ is the right term, no matter how goofy it sounds.

We all find our own language in order to say something in this world. We all manage to do that and fail from time to time. Most of the time, nobody listens. They were too busy trying to say something at the same time. We are all blind because we are so into ourselves; it’s a cliche but a pure truth like almost all cliches.

I don’t have a specific goal regarding my self-expression; almost like our existence, we’re just doing it, moving on without knowing how it ends.

Never. Never. Land.
